Mr. Chu is a graduate of Chapman University School of Law. While at Chapman, he completed the Alternative Dispute Resolution certification program, which included extensive hands-on experience mediating (and successfully resolving) a wide variety of types of cases at Riverside Superior Court, including civil restraining orders and debt collection cases.
Before joining Lehrman Law Group, Mr. Chu worked as a plaintiff personal injury attorney, working on all types of personal injury cases, from garden variety automobile accidents, to multi-million dollar premises liability and wrongful death cases. These cases often involved complex discovery disputes and extensive law and motion practice in order to protect his client’s liberty interests and rights, as well as obtain the necessary information and documents to obtain proper relief for his clients.
While Mr. Chu’s practice at Lehrman has focused exclusively on warranty defense for auto manufacturers, he brings a plaintiff lawyer’s perspective and experience to the firm in order to better defend his current clients. Though only joining the firm in 2019, Mr. Chu has hit the ground running in representation of his clients, from case inception, through discovery and resolution of cases through third party dispute resolution programs, to taking depositions and extensive law and motion practice. His litigation experience extends to both California state and federal courts.
