Ms. Oaks is a graduate of Howard University School of Law. While at Howard, she was a member of the Clinical Law Center, where she represented clients with housing issues before administrative law tribunals, Ms. Oaks also worked as an extern in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of General Counsel, where she enforced mortgage program regulations and prosecuted mortgage fraud, and the Office of Policy, Development and Research, where she conducted disaster relief research and developed a department training program.
Before joining Lehrman Law Group, Ms. Oaks worked in business, real estate and estate litigation. Since joining Lehrman in 2015, Ms. Oaks has focused primarily on defending automobile manufacturers in consumer warranty disputes in all phases of litigation up to and including trial.
