Alexander S. Rynerson is an associate with Lehrman, Villegas, Chinery & Douglas, LLP. Alexander has extensive experience from pre-litigation and coverage analysis to trial, and beyond in post-trial appeals. Alexander has experience in general liability, catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and elder abuse, civil rights defense. Since joining Lehrman, Villegas, Chinery & Douglas, LLP in 2023, Alexander’s practice focuses exclusively on consumer warranty defense for automobile manufacturers, drawing on his eclectic background and deep love for high-performance automobiles.

  • The denial of a petition to compel arbitration and subsequently reported opinion on appeal of Logan v. Country Oaks Care Partners, LLC (2022) 82 Cal.App.5th 365, a case which materially changes the face of agency law in California.

  • Resolution of a catastrophic personal injury matter with admitted liability for well under policy and excess policy limits.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a minor in Eastern European Languages and Culture. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Chapman University on a merit scholarship, where he was a member of Moot Court, Mock Trial, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution teams. While in law school, Alexander was an intern for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, assigned to the Victim Impact Program representing the People of California on behalf of victims of child, sexual, domestic, and elder abuse in over 30 felony hearings, multiple successful motions, and three jury trials.

In his free time, Alexander serves as bro-bono general counsel for a performing arts nonprofit, is an avid skier and scuba diver, brews beer, sings with the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic, and spends as much time as possible with his wonderful wife and three dogs.
